Now that you watched it. Let’s rewind a bit to 2010 🗓️ when I embarked on the mission to inject technical excellence into the software development field, inspired by the engineering and innovation witnessed in the Formula 1 arena 🏎️.

Over the past 14 years, my research has led me to a profound realization:

technical excellence thrives only in a conducive environment.

That’s why I delved deep into neuroscience, behavioral psychology, and coaching techniques, seeking to understand and reshape organizational behaviors at scale.

But reshaping behaviors isn’t a solo endeavor. It requires a holistic approach that encompasses identity 🪪, environment 🏢, and purpose 🎯. That’s where board-level OKRs enhance with behavioural psychology and engineering come into play, creating the impetus 🌊 for change at the board level, and providing a purpose, a vision and a strategy for the upcoming organizational evolution.

In my talk, I scratched only the surface of these concepts, revealing how the initial coding dojo recipe designed by Laurent Bossavit and presented at the XP 2005 conference, evolved under my research into a multifaceted ecosystem designed to foster digital excellence across all fronts.

After stepping into companies grappling with digital transformation challenges and helping them find their way, I crafted my mantra 🕉️:

“STOP ✋ transforming 🚧 –> START 🌱 evolving 🔄!”

The SW Craftsmanship Dojo® is just the tip of the iceberg – a cornerstone of the larger “Unicorns Ecosystem” aimed at revolutionizing organizations aiming for digital excellence from within.

Applying behavioral engineering at scale, and making it objective with a data-driven model, isn’t a walk in the park. It requires a strategic blend of technical prowess, social acumen, and a keen understanding of human dynamics. But the rewards are immeasurable – a truly evolved organization primed for success in the ever-changing digital landscape.
